The best chocolate brownie recipe ever!
Instead of picking up a packet of biscuits when you’re at the supermarket, hightail it to the baking aisle for a packet of plain flour. While you’re there, get eggs, caster sugar and the ingredients below. Next, whip yourself up these delicious chocolate brownies.
Apparently if it’s homemade, the calories don’t count.
What you need:
115g plain chocolate
55g Stork margarine
3 medium eggs
225g caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
40g plain flour
25g cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
55g set natural yoghurt
85g pecans or walnuts, finely chopped
The work:
Preheat the oven to 160°C.
Break the chocolate into a bowl, add the Stork and melt over a pan of hot water (or in a microwave on medium power).
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs with the caster sugar and vanilla until creamy and slightly thickened.
Sieve the dry ingredients and add to the eggs with the chocolate mixture, yoghurt and nuts. Mix gently.
Pour into a greased 22cm square tin. Bake for 45-55 mins.
Leave to cool before cutting into squares.
