Air New Zealand is lifting its luggage restrictions for all flights between London and Los Angeles, allowing festive fliers to make the most of LA’s shopping scene and bring more of their Christmas presents home.
With Christmas shopping season already in full swing, Air New Zealand wants to help Brits break out of their usual habits and explore the huge range of shops that Los Angeles offers – while also getting some last minute sunshine before the winter sets in.
In addition to their first free bag, passengers in all classes on Air New Zealand’s London – Los Angeles route will be able to purchase a second bag for just £1 each way. The offer is bookable throughout November, for travel between 5 November and 11 December 2015.
To help passengers make the most of their shopping in Los Angeles, Air New Zealand has searched out LA’s top ten shopping destinations:
1. SANTA MONICA PLACE – Located in the heart of Santa Monica, the modern Santa Monica Place offers a contemporary mix of stores, restaurants and an artisan market.
2. UNIVERSAL CITYWALK HOLLYWOOD – Located next to Universal Studios, Universal Citywalk Hollywood is home to more than 25 places to eat and 30 specialty shops.
3. ABBOT KINNEY BOULEVARD – Dubbed “The Coolest Block in America” by GQ, Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice is one of LA’s hippest areas for unique shopping.
4. CITADEL OUTLETS – Located just minutes south of Downtown LA, Citadel Outlets offers the closest outlet shopping experience to the city.
5. THE VILLAGE AT WESTFIELD TOPANGA – One of the hottest shopping destinations in 2015 is the newly opened Village at Westfield Topanga in the San Fernando Valley.
6. TOM BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL – After a $1.9 billion renovation, Los Angeles International Airport’s Tom Bradley International Terminal is now one of the best places for shopping enthusiast visiting LA.
7. ROBERTSON BOULEVARD – Robertson Boulevard located on the cusp of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills is a shopping hot spot frequented by celebrities, paparazzi who stalk them and star gazers alike.
8. MELROSE AVENUE – Melrose Avenue is a diverse shopping destination that manages to be eccentric and mainstream, affordable and upscale, and grungy and glamorous.
