So instead of being wedged between sweaty angry people on the Tube after work, lace up your running shoes and hit the tarmac.

From March 12, Home Run groups will meet at Tube stations across London to run back home together, while their bags are biked to their local stations.

The service is free, and it’ll also save you piles of money that you would’ve spent on transport or in the gym.

Routes include Bank and Waterloo to Clapham Junction; Oxford Circus to Shepherd’s Bush and Finsbury Park; Victoria to Putney Bridge; Liverpool Street to Stratford; and Charing Cross to Clapham Common (see the full list online). But if there aren’t any runs going your way home, you can vote on the website for additional routes to be added.

So if you’d rather pound it out on London’s pavements than brave the human squish on the Tube, book your spot on a 6pm run online by 4pm on the day.
