Sydney’s annual Film Festival – it’s the 62nd – will run from Wednesday, 3 June to Sunday, 14 June, offering  Sydneysiders and visitors a whirlwind of premieres, red-carpet openings, panel discussions and international guests.

The festival will again screen feature films, documentaries, short films and animation across greater Sydney: at the State Theatre, Dendy Opera Quays, Art Gallery of NSW, Event Cinemas George Street, the Festival Hub at Sydney Town Hall and the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace Cremorne. New venues, are also soon to be announced.

Each year the programming team curates 12 days of cinema sourced from world-famous film festivals, including Cannes, Sundance, Toronto and the Berlinale; as well as Australia’s finest local productions. 

 There will be screenings of around 200 films from over 50 countries. A public program of free and ticketed exhibitions, talks, panels, parties and live-music events.

Festival director Nashen Moodley says, With the 2015 Festival drawing closer, we are looking forward to announcing a full film and events program in the coming months.”

 A sneak preview of the 2015 program will be announced in April with the full Festival program revealed in May.
