Manchester United Football Club is one of the most recognised, successful and followed brands in world football having won the English Premier League more times than any other English club in the last two decades.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s team boasts some of the biggest names in world football; with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes all likely to be on the tour which should arrive in July of next year.

While the fixture/s list is yet to be unveiled it is thought that an exhibition match against an A-League all-star side led by Sydney FC Marquee player Alessandro Piero in front of 82,000 people at ANZ Stadium will be a definite.

It has been 14 years since the Red Devils last visited Australian shores, when their list of players included Phil Neville (now of Everton), Dwight Yorke (who went on to play in the inaugural A-League season) and Australia’s very own goal-keeper/coke fiend Mark Bosnich.
