The slots have been sold to American Airlines, and the last Heathrow to Larnaca flight is thought to depart on September 13.
If you’ve booked a flight to Cyprus after this date, don’t worry – free coach transfers will be arranged.
Heathrow have confirmed that the move will be taking place.
A spokeswoman for the airport said: “Cyprus Airlines operate primarily short-haul, leisure routes which are well served by point-to-point airports such as Stansted, and we wish them the best of luck in their new home.”
