Dan Sultan’s live shows have quite a reputation for high energy affairs. The Aussie heartthrob has a unique ability to blend rock ‘n roll with influences like hip-hop, and electro make for a night out that’s somehow uniquely Australian and uniquely Dan Sultan. That’s why we’re excited to hear that he’s bringing his full band to London to perform tracks from his most recent album, Blackbird along with hits from his earlier albums.

Dan and his band will be presenting pretty much the same show that they have just toured across Australia with venues sold-out in most places. If it’s been a while since you caught up with him, he’s featured in our September edition which is out next week – nice of us, huh?

Recorded in Nashville, Blackbird gives us a set of tracks that reflect an artist who has truly found his soulful and spiritual self maturing into one of Australia’s most beloved and admired artists. Blackbird debuted at number four on the Aussie charts and it has received acclaim from press and fans who love the depth of Dan’s songwriting on this set of cuts.

However if all this talk of depth and maturity make you think that the show at Bush Hall will be a quiet and sedate affair, think again. Dan recently told us that he and the band love to kick up a sweat on stage and fuelled by audience feedback they love to have a good time on stage.

When: Tuesday 30 September, 7:30pm
