You’ll have to wait a bit longer to catch a glimpse of Craig’s naked torso though, as he was filmed driving Whitehall yesterday fully dressed in a Range Rover for the new 007 film, Skyfall.
Craig, 43, was seen filming inside a specially modified Range Rover with cameras attached at the steering wheel to capture the action. He was wearing beige trousers and a fitted jacket.
The actor, who also stars in Layer Cake, takes centre stage again, alongside Javier Bardem and British actress Naomie Harris, after playing the iconic 007 agent in Quantum Of Solace and Casino Royale.
Kate Winslet’s ex-husband Sam Mendes, who shot to fame in 1999 with Oscar-winning debut film American Beauty, is on board to direct this 23rd Bond film.
Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw will also join the stellar cast in Skyfall, although their characters will be announced at a later date. Dame Judi Dench will reprise her role M.
At the press conference held at The Corinthia London hotel earlier this week, Craig joked that his Spanish co-star Bardem would spend most of the time in the buff.
Speaking on Thursday, he said: “Javier’s stripped naked for most of the movie.”
He also joked that he would be in a similar state of undress, claiming to be topless for the duration of the blockbuster.
When asked if he would be stripping off, he vowed to give Javier a run for his money, adding: “It’s when I keep my shirt on we should be talking about.”
Shooting will later move to Pinewood, China, Istanbul and Scotland.
