Q. I’m in my early 30s and happily engaged. My fiancée wants to have a tell-all session before we get married.
The only problem is I was a bit wild in my youth and I don’t want her to think I’m some sort of crazed sex maniac.
Should I just skip over that part of my life?
A. Nothing wrong with a sordid past. We all have skeletons in the closet (or maybe a blow-up doll in your case?) but the fact is the past doesn’t always stay in the past.
Plus, girls have this insane ability to snoop around and find things out, so it’s best you tell her the truth. No need to go into intimate details, but if she asks you a straight question, it’s easier to give her a semi-truthful answer.
Just keep reminding her you’ve grown up since then and she’s the one you’ve chosen to spend the rest of your life with.
Of course she could have a crazy past too, but then you guys could go wild together!
