Kings Of Convenience (Source/Virgin)
For their latest outing, Norwegian duo Kings Of Convenience don’t deviate from their formula for gentle, acoustic tunes. As with their previous two albums there is a quiet, emotionally charged quality to the songs on Declaration Of Dependence which finds its most pleasing expression in prettily undulating numbers like Power Of Not Knowing. But a few more upbeat numbers like Peacetime Resistance would have given DOD the lift it sorely needs.
