Whether it’s because they want to pay respects to a much-loved lady or simply fancy a paddle, the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain sure draws a lot of visitors.

It’s hard not to admire the innovative design – water flows in both directions from the highest point, meeting at the bottom.

The public are welcome to sit on the edge and dangle their feet, but are requested not to climb on the fountain or walk in the water.

But almost everyone ignores this – I even saw a monk in all his robes having a dip.

Whether you’re respectful and stay off, or ditch the shoes and splash away in tribute to a woman who was always bit of a renegade, is up to you.
