A young Asian man disguised himself in a rubber mask which made him look like an old white man to board a plane from Hong Kong to Vancouver.

Amazing pictures, showing the man both in and out of his mask, were obtained by CNN which says that it has uncovered a confidential Canada Border Services Agency alert about the “unbelievable case of concealment” on the Oct. 29 Air Canada flight.

According to the alert, posted on the CNN website, the young man wore a mask covering his face, neck and shoulders.

“The passenger in question was observed at the beginning of the flight to be an elderly Caucasian male who appeared to have young looking hands,” the alert reads.

“During the flight the subject attended the washroom and emerged an Asian male that appeared to be in his early 20s.”

On landing, the passenger was escorted off the plane by Border Services Officers, and reportedly asked for refugee status.

Mask disguise in a bag

The Asian man, who isn’t being named due to privacy laws in Canada, initially denied the incident, claiming he had only the one bag he was carrying.

However, authorities confronted him with two more bags, one of which contained the peeled-off silicone face and neck mask, which the man confessed to owning.

The alert stated: “One bag contained the subject’s personal clothing items while the second contained a pair of gloves.

“The third contained a disguise kit which consisted of a silicone type head and neck mask of an elderly Caucasian male, a brown leather cap, glasses and a thin brown cardigan.”

According to the report, authorities then requested the passenger put the disguise back on so they could confirm their suspicions, and noted that he even mimicked the movements of an elderly person for them.

You couldn’t make it up.
