In another shocking case of animal cruelty, a dog that had been deliberately set on fire was found early on Tuesday night.
The badly-burned male Terrier cross was found in Knight Park, at Yennora, in Sydney’s west, by a passer-by.
He took the dog to a nearby vet, but it had to be put down because of the severity of his injuries.
“It
is believed the dog was deliberately set on fire however we’re doing
tests now to gain further information,” said RSPCA NSW inspector Slade
Macklin.
“He had burns to most of his body so unfortunately the only humane thing to do was end his suffering.”
Witnesses are also sought over this latest animal cruelty case.
