The sequel will also star Jim carey and jeff Bridges, who will reprise their roles as two intellectually-challenged friends whose road trip conjured such calamities as the Harry’s frozen tongue and laxative-attack, and Lloyd’s mistake that saw the the duo drive hundreds ofmiles across the USA in the wrong direction.

Peter Farrelly said in an interview with Coming Soon.net: “So we’ve always wanted to do a sequel and Jim called up. Jeff always wanted to do it. We always wanted to do it. Jim was busy, but he called and said, ‘We’ve got to do this thing again’. He had just watched Dumb And Dumber and he said, ‘This is the perfect sequel. Let’s do it.”

For many films, the announcement of a long delayed sequel is greeted with a chorus of head-slapping and anger. “How can they do that?” The news that a sequel to this Nineties comedy classic is in the works is not one such film.

It was the movie, along with Ace Ventura and The Mask, that made Carey as a leading man (of sorts), and was one of the highest grossing films of 1994.

So put another shrimp on the barbie, Harry and Lloyd are back!
