The limbless torso of the former soap star was pulled from the Regent’s Canal in Hackney, East London, last Friday.

McCluskie, 29, who starred as Kerry Skinner in the BBC show, went missing on March 1.

Her 35-year-old brother, Tony, was arrested a week later at the East London home the pair shared with their mother, after the torso was discovered.  A member of the public had reported a suspicious object floating close to Broadway Market, and a distinctive tattoo led officers to believe it was the former soap star.

Police divers are still searching for her remaining body parts.

Today McCluskie’s brother was remanded in custody and a provisional date of March 26 was set for a preliminary hearing.
