Food

There are plenty of excellent restaurants in Bordeaux and seafood features prominently on the menu.

Drink

The word Bordeaux immediately conjures up images of the wine for which the area is famous. The wine-producing districts are outside of the city — the most famous being the Médoc, in the north, and St Émilion to the east. 

Make sure you include a winery visit in your itinerary. 

To drink locally, head to the area around Place de la Victorie for a night out.
