A 19-year-old woman has thrown her three-year-old child off a bridge on the N1 highway in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape police said on Thursday.
Captain Leon Fortune said the child sustained ” serious head injuries” in Wednesday’s incident and had been admitted to the Frere hospital.
The mother had been arrested for attempted murder and was expected to appear in the Mdantsane Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
