Talk title:
The new Egypt
Name:
Sameh Nazeeh
Company: Egyptologist/Tour Guide with Encounters Travel
Website: encounterstravel.com

Why do you love to travel?
To see different people, cultures and learn more and it also makes me appreciate how great my country is.

Who would be your ideal travel partner and why?
My wife – I have to say that because she is sitting right next to me!

What was your favourite destination last year and why?
Apart from the UK, I stayed in Egypt all last year. My favourite destination in Egypt was Dahab (Red Sea) because it was good to relax by the beach and the weather was great.

Describe the most unusual situation you’ve found yourself in while travelling.
It was in Patong Beach in Thailand. Without going into too much detail I’m just glad my wife was with me… although she was confused at first, too…

If you could return to any country you’ve been to, where would it be and why?
I would prefer going to a new country as there is still a lot I want to see.  But if I have to return to a country, I would say New Zealand as nature there is so beautiful.

What’s the one thing you can’t travel without and why?
Egyptian music as I always miss home when I am away.

Give us an overview of what you’ll be discussing at the TNT Travel Show:
I’ll be talking about my love of Egypt and the amazing monuments and experiences holidaymakers can enjoy in the country. I’ll also talk about the revolution and how this has affected tourism and life in general in the new Egypt.
