James Bond star Daniel Craig says he would love to film a 007 movie in Australia.

Craig greeted hundreds of excited fans at the Australian premiere in Sydney of the new Bond film Quantum of Solace accompanied by his stunning co-star Olga Kurylenko.

Craig said the best thing about being James Bond was making the actual movie.

“Doing these movies, they are incredible,” Craig told AAP.

“It’s very rare air to make movies of this size and the locations we go to.”

Bond spends much of his time visiting exotic locations and Craig said he would love it if Australia was one of those locations in a future film.

“[Australia] is quite exotic I think,” Craig said.

“I’d happily do that, very happily do that.

“I would love to spend some time down here.”

Kurylenko, dressed in a metallic Colette Dinnigan mini, said she was excited to be here for the premiere.

“I have never been to Australia so it’s really exciting,” she said.

The former model said that despite appearances her character had her flaws.

“She is strong and independent but she is not perfect,” she said.

“She is just a normal person.”

A host of Australian stars turned out for the premiere including Rove McManus, Megan Gale and Andy Lee, Ruby Rose, Jason Dundas and Nash Edgerton.
