On Friday night backpackers were permitted to pitch their tents on the slim wooden pathway that runs along the edge of the mountain in Henan province, China at 1,700-meters.
Around 100 backpackers were allowed to sleep on the edge of the mountain, to enjoy the morning sunrise.
Health and safety included a railing to stop people rolling to their deaths and torches.
As for mod cons, portable toilets and WiFi connection were provided.
The camping trip was part of a series of activities for the Laojun Mountain Camp Festival.
