Vettel, who last won in July, when he was leading the Drivers Championship, saw his form diminish after August, as Hamilton surged to the title.

Here it was a different story for Ferrari, who dominated the race through Vettel and also took home 3rd spot with Kimi Raikonen.

Hamilton, who has been in the UK news for all the wrong reasons, as well as seeing team members get robbed in Brazil, definitely had the busiest grand prix in some time. After crashing out in qualifying, a start at the back of the grid, when the race started, was the catalyst for the Mercedes driver to take on, as he drove a superb race to come through the field and even challenge Raikonen for 3rd before holding off the British driver in the end.

Mercedes did get some reward with 2nd spot going to Valterri Bottas.

Felipe Massa, made an emotional appearance after his final home race, before retiring at the end of the season. He finished 7th in Brazil.

The final GP of the season is in 2 weeks around the floodlight track of Abu Dhabi.
