Katherine Goldberg was flying from South Africa to Heathrow when she drunkenly grabbed at the steward’s penis, Uxbridge Magistrates Court heard.
“She was drunk whilst on the airplane. She proceeded to sexually assault one of the crew members by demanding to have sex with him and grabbing his penis and crotch area,” said Stella Waata, prosecuting.
Ms Goldberg’s lawyer asked that his client receive a caution.
“It is a serious allegation but there are good reasons why it would be in the public interest for the Crown to deal with her by way of a caution,” her lawyer said.
The woman, of Ealing Common, west London, is to be charged with one count of sexual assault and another of being drunk in an aircraft.
Ms Goldberg appeared tearful in court and has been bailed until later this week.
