The unnamed woman entered the wolf enclosure at Kolmarden Park, about 30 miles south of Stockholm, alone at 11am on Sunday morning when she was attacked by eight wolves. Emergency services attempted to rescue her but could not reach her for fear of being attacked by the animals as well.
A police spokesman said: ‘She was so badly hurt in the attack that she died of her injuries.
‘We do not know why they attacked.’
