Flabbergastered England fans were quick to question why it wasn’t deemed a necessity after Frank Lampard’s goal against Germany during World Cup 2010 didn’t stand.
They were also keen to point out that the Ukrainian striker was offside in the build up to the goal and therefore it shouldn’t have counted in the first place, something Blatter has failed to mention.
After last night’s match #GLT is no longer an alternative but a necessity.

“Milevskiy was offside in buildup. Do we need offside technology too? Or is this just because England benefitted? Corrupt goon,” tweeted Diego Westerberg.
“Why weren’t you bothered after SA 2010 then?” said Mike Whyley.
Blatter has been under fire in recent years following a string of scandals at world football’s governing body, and his continued resistance to the use of technology in refereeing the game at the top level.
