Wayne Rooney treated his Twitter fans to the first glimpse of his head today after undergoing a £30,000 hair transplant operation.
The England and Manchester United striker revealed on the micro-blogging site on Saturday that he’d had the procedure, promising he’d post an image when the bruising and swelling had died down.
This morning, he delivered, with a tweet saying: “Hi all there’s my head. It will take a few months to grow. Still a bit bloody to. But that’s all normal.”
Rooney, 25, said he was going on holiday to Barbados with his wife Coleen and their 18-month-old son Kai, adding: “Going airport now I’ll chat to u all tomorrow #hairwego.”
On Saturday, he tweeted: “I had it done in Harley street hair clinic London. Thanks to all the staff who looked after me.”
And added: “Anyone recommend any good hair gel. Haha.”
His wife, Coleen, tweeted: “Hiya!! Yes waynes had his hair done! His own decision not me asking him, like alot are saying!! Pleased for him and it will look great x”.
