The scene: Picture yourself sitting in the sun, surrounded by the bustle of Borough Market, right up next to Southwark Cathedral – you get glorious views of it by day and night (it’s fabulously floodlit in the evening).
The grub: As the name says, fish is what it’s all about – with a few other options thrown in. Choose your own seafood, whether steamed or grilled, and whatever sauce you’d like to accompany it.
Behind the bar: A very nice Italian white house wine costs £15.95 a bottle. There’s an extensive wine list and an English organic ale on offer.
Bill please: The side orders are good – especially the chips (£2.95) – and reasonably priced. Beers start at £3.75 and glasses of house wine at £3.95.
Verdict: The food is good and the service is friendly – but the portions could be a tad bigger.
