Huzzah! Air New Zealand has announced it will offer £75 return tickets to New Zealand to celebrate its 75th anniversary (Air New Zealand’s inaugural flight was from Auckland to Sydney in 1940).

There are one hundred Flying Kiwi tickets – 50 of which will go on sale from 9am on Thursday 16 April at STA Travel, London Victoria and 40 of which will be available from 10am over the phone (03333213085) for those unable to travel to London.

On the day, a small number of tickets will be up for grabs for customers who didn’t make the first 50 in the queue and the rest will be awarded through social media. Customers can win the chance to ‘jump the queue’ at STA by entering a competition on Air New Zealand’s UK Facebook (facebook.com/airnzuk) and Twitter (@airnzuk) pages. Fans simply need to share what New Zealand means to them via a caption contest on Facebook or by using the hashtag #AirNZ75QJump on Twitter.

New Zealand’s national carrier has come a long way in 75 years and now flies to 27 international ports and 25 domestic destinations across New Zealand, as well as operating a daily service from London Heathrow to Auckland New Zealand, via Los Angeles.

Air New Zealand’s daily service from London to Auckland via Los Angeles is operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft which feature the award-winning Kiwi designed Economy Skycouch™ and Premium Economy Spaceseat™.
