‘Raisin Weekend’ at St. Andrews University in Fife, Scotland is celebrated with a massive foam fight. Believe it or not, in 2001 Prince William and fiance Kate Middleton, who met at the uni as undergraduates, joined in.
First year freshers took part in the foam fight at the university’s St Salvator’s Quadrant yesterday.
The foam frenzy is part of Raisin Weekend – a centuries-old tradition associated with ‘freshers week’ the University.
Sounds like a good way to spend a Monday afternoon to us.
