Food from home needn’t mean vegemite and pizza shapes – Antipodean cuisine is taking the culinary world by storm and this two-day pop-up event is set to celebrate this with food, wine and all things delightful.
Organised by Australia’s number one wine-os Hardy’s and wine aficionados from A Grape Night In, Grapes and Gastronomy from the Antipodes will introduce you to a load of wines from the former with stars from the latter pairing these wines with little tastes and treats inspired by Australia’s diverse culinary scene.
Some of the trends and popular food fashions that will be included in this evening are the rise of native Australian ingredients, Austral-Asian flavours and the ever-increasing popularity of the all-day brunch (yum yum!!) and each of these dishes will be complimented by a specific Hardy’s wine to tantalise the palette.
To enhance the Oz-vibe of the evening even more, it will all be held in Lantana Café in Shoreditch, a winsome, Australian-run little café bar that you must have been to already. What? You haven’t? Firstly – why not? And secondly, get down there next week and make amends!
