Premier League Footballer Titus Bramble has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and possession of an a class A drug, police confirmed
Bramble was arrested in the Yarm area of Cleveland after early this morning
A police spokesman confirmed: “A 30-year-old man from Wynyard has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and possession of a class A drug.”
“He is currently being questioned by police and inquiries are ongoing.”

Last year the Sunderland defender was arrested by Northumbria Police over an alleged rape in a Newcastle hotel but was later released without charge.
Of the current allegation a Sunderland spokesman said: “The club is looking into this matter but due to ongoing police investigations is unable to comment further at this stage.”
Bramble began his football career in Ipswich before landing a £6 million contract with Newcastle United.
From Newcastle he went to Wigan before moving to Sunderland last year.
In August Bramble’s brother Tesfaye was found guilty of raping a teenage and is currently serving four and a half years in prison.
