Former New Souht Wales treasurer Michael Costa has been appointed an associated professor at Newcastle University.
Mr
Costa, who suddenly resigned from parliament last month, has accepted
an offer to conduct research with the university’s Australian
Competition Policy Research Alliance, News Limited reports today.
His
key role will be a critical examination of government policy – looking
at government regulation to ensure it’s not stalling economic growth.
“Those
people that thought my resignation from treasurer would stop my
campaign for better government and better reforms will be sadly
mistaken,” News Ltd quoted him as saying.
