The North Wiltshire magistrate’s court activated an “eight-week suspended sentence” on Thursday according to the Metro which will see Robert Newman spend six weeks in jail for his penetrative attack on a local goat.
Another UK paper, the Mirror, also report that Newman will be forced to register as a sex offender.
Newman originally denied having sex with a goat on a farm in Wiltshire, but changed his plea after learning that the poor animal required veterinary care afterwards.
The goat’s owners said the incident had forced a ‘serious financial burden’ on them. In addition to the aforementioned vet visit and the subsequent antibiotics the family now fear for their safety on the farm and have taken steps to install greater security measures.
“[Newman] cost us a considerable amount of money because we have had to install security cameras… My husband is worried about me being on the farm on my own,” said the unnamed owner in court.
Newman, 23, claims that he will wear the sentence and then wants to move on with his life. “I don’t want to be this bad person anymore, I just want to get on with my life and do good,” he said.
If Newman has a thing for sticking his willy in hairy, short-tempered animals he might actually rather enjoy prison.
