Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are being used by a Philippine airline in an attempt to direct passengers’ attention to the cabin crew as they give their safety demonstration. Becasue let’s face it, who actually listens?

Budget airline, Cebu, has taken to playing Lady Gaga’s ‘Let’s Dance’ and Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ as flight attendants gamely boogie down the aisle.

The airline told the Telegraph: “Cebu Pacific has always been known as a fun airline.  We wanted to get the message across to our customers that fight safety doesn’t have to be boring. This was an experiment that we hope to repeat and also a chance to showcase the talent of some of our cabin crew staff.”

The clip, which a passenger posted on Youtube, has already been viewed over 5,000,000 times.

Wonder if it’ll catch on. There’s nothing like watching people humiliate themselves to make your Bloody Mary and peanuts taste better.
