The German government is so desperate for people to have more children that it is proposing a law allowing kids under six to laugh and shout at any volume.
The move follows a number of German lawsuits about children and noise.
The senior citizens’ chapter of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservatives recently tried to ban kids from residential areas because they are too noisy.
The proposed bill would exempt kids from strict regulations on noise limits, which also ban the mowing of lawns on Sunday and stop building sites from working for an hour every day from midday.
