The Queens have been going for a mighty 15 years now. Formed from the ashes of stoner rock legends Kyuss, they made a name for themselves with their self-titled debut, before hitting paydirt with its follow ups Rated R and Songs for The Deaf. Since then they have been bona fide members of alt-rock’s monarchy. With the likes of former Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan dropping in and out of the band, too, and Dave Grohl cropping up on drums – live and in the studio – they have amassed a body of work that is full of stoner-grunge classics. Playing two nights at this west London arena shows have far they have come.
