Tell us about this week’s show?

It’s the Laughing Horse New Act Competition, so there’s lots of new acts. It should be really good!

Where was your first show?

It was in Auckland, NZ, in August 2008. My mouth dried up on stage so much that someone had to pass me a drink. I still cringe.

Who is your comedy idol?

That would have to be a Kiwi called Brendhan Lovegrove. He is so funny – he tears rooms apart with laughs.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen in your whole life?

Watching my mates fold up a mechanical sofa bed while my friend was still fast asleep on it. Hearing his voice coming from inside the sofa just did me in.

What was the strangest gig you’ve done?

A coffee bar in Auckland for three people. The mic was taped to the stand – it may have been a Singstar mic – and everyone was there for coffee and not expecting a gig.
