Eavis told ITV West Country that Longleat is the best site in the whole of England and he’d like to see the festival move there by 2019.
Glastonbury Festival has taken place on Worthy Farm in Somerset for 46 years. The ground at Worthy Farm needs to be rested once every five years. Currently there is nowhere for the festival to take place when this happens.
Eavis explained that the owner of Longleat, Lord Bath, is supportive of the move.
