Guns N’ Roses’ tour has not been cancelled, despite a Tweet from Axl Rose saying that the band’s upcoming gigs were not going ahead.

It has now been reported that Guns N’ Roses’ frontman, Rose’s, Twitter account was hacked into and the message: “all upcoming Guns N’ Roses dates are officially cancelled” is a big fat lie.

Festival Republic told the BBC: “(We) are informed by GN’R management that Guns N’ Roses have NOT cancelled their performances at Reading & Leeds and that Axl Rose’s Twitter account was hacked into and all claims of dates being cancelled are unfounded.”

However some fans aren’t convinced by Guns N’ Roses’ ‘hacked Twitter account’ explanation, with one Tweeting: “Suspect he was just having a hissy fit.”

Guns N’ Roses verified Twitter account had no answers earlier today, posting in response to Rose’s message that the tour was cancelled: “Well well well, you never can tell… We are looking into this tweet…”

Guns
N’ Roses are scheduled to play their first British arena shows in four
years, as well as headlining the Reading and Leeds festivals over the
next couple of weeks.
