Little Boots (679)
The PR machine surrounding Victoria Hesketh has been so intense that it’s easy to sympathise with listeners who grew sick of her before she’d so much as released a second single.
Her debut album can’t possibly live up to its advance billing, and doesn’t.
Still, despite a surprising amount of filler, there’s plenty here to like: the Kylie-esque Stuck On Repeat; the glacial Click; and, of course, New In Town, currently sitting near the top of the singles chart.
