The 5k City of London run has sold out in record time for the past three years, and the 5,000 places are expected to fill soon.

Entries are open for a restricted time for runners who have previously taken part in the race. Those wishing to participate for the first time can register their interest now and find out more about the race by visiting the official race website at cityrace.co.uk.

This year, £10 from every runner’s entry fee will go towards Seeing is Believing, a global initiative that tackles avoidable blindness and the race’s official beneficiary.

Every team of four runners who enter the race will provide enough funding to train one health worker in Primary Eye Care, and a team of eight will contribute enough funds for one child to receive a cataract operation. Standard Chartered will match all funds raised pound for pound.
