Countries will battle it out for the top spot and try to impress well known foodies. The event kicks off 19 September where diners will receive 100g of beef per competitor country (eight in total) and matching drinks from finalist countries to be tasted and voted on in quarter finals by diners. The winning four-courses of steak will then be tasted by the astute judging panel in the semi-final and final. The winner will then be crowned with a final ‘peoples vote’. During supper the France vs Italy match will also be screened in the M Bar. A world cup of steak menu will be on offer at M from 19 September – 31 October, where guests can opt for 3, 4 or 6 Nation menus and, at £35 including drinks it’s cheaper than you may think.
