David Cameron greeted the Queen as she arrived at Downing Street to attend a cabinet meeting at No 10, becoming the first monarch to do so since the 18th century.

The Queen was greeted by David Cameron as she arrived at Downing Street to attend the meeting as part of the government’s diamond jubilee celebrations reports The Guardian.

Queen Elizabeth arrived just after 10am, and attended in a purely observational role. She sat between Cameron and the foreign secretary, William Hague and been presented with a gift from the secretaries of state.
