The TRAKTOR DJ app allows you to mix your own tracks like a pro, winning the iTunes Global App of the Year and clocking up 5 million downloads already.

This cutting-edge piece of technology has found its way into not only DJ booths and clubs but also fashion shows and house parties the world over.

UK dance pioneer, A Guy Called Gerald, uses it. You can watch a video about how he uses it to help make his mixing seamless here. To see him in action, head to Koko on October 18 – more details here.

If you want to have a go yourself, TRAKTOR has created the ‘Everybody DJ’ project, and as part of this, it has launched a competition to win an all-expenses paid weekend to Berlin as well as some TRAKTOR goodies. Plus, if you win, it’s bound to be an important step towards firming up your DJing career.

All you need to do is create a mix of your favourite tracks and upload it to Mixcloud straight from the TRAKTOR DJ upload feature. Mixes can be any genre but must be between 15 and 30 minutes, and contain a minimum of six tracks. If you don’t have TRAKTOR DJ, no problem. Simply create a playlist of at least six tracks on Spotify and paste the link in the comments section of this Facebook post.

Full details off the competition can be found here. Good luck!
