Clinton had been in London last weekend to accept the Chatham House Prize in honour of her work and sterling contributions to international diplomacy only she found her silver Mercedes picked up an £80 parking ticket from a plucky parking warden for pulling up on a city street and parking for 45 minutes without displaying a valid ticket.
“I’m sure she will understand that we have to be fair to everyone, regardless of their status on the world stage,” said Westminster City Council cabinet member for business Daniel Astaire in light of the high profile ticket.
Clinton’s people were reportedly seen discussing the offending ticket with the warden but the brave Westminster Council employee stuck to their guns and insisted that he would not remove the ticket that had been issued.
Good news for Clinton is that if the fine is paid within 14 days then it will be halved to only £40!
