Previously unseen photographs of Hitler’s mistress Eva Braun have been released, showing the woman posing in swimming costumes and even nude in one shot.
The pictures show Braun as a nine-year-old girl at convent school, a teenage model and then the wife of the Nazi dictator.
Eva met Hitler through Reich photographer Heinrich Hoffman.
Pictures show the pair at Hitler’s Bavarian Alps retreat.
She is often shown in her bathing suit and in one shot, she arches backwards to make a bridge a few miles from Hitler’s holiday home, Berghof.
In one picture, she is even shown apparently nude behind an umbrella.
The couple married quickly in 1945 then fled to an underground bunker. It is believed that Hitler shot himself while Eva took a cyanide capsule.
The photographs are shown in this month’s edition of Life magazine.
