What’s the story?

Tracey captured this double rainbow at Niagara Falls. “We had got an early bus from Toronto and arrived just as it started to drizzle with rain,” she tells us. “We were disappointed with the commercialised nature of the Niagara township itself, but utterly in awe of the vast falls. To top it off we were lucky enough to capture the falls when rainbows fell across it. We loved its sheer size and beauty.” And it’s a beauty of a shot, too.

Catching Rays
By Roma Small, from Sydney, Australia

What’s the Story?

Catching rays can be risky to one’s health, but rarely in this way. “I was in North London on a rooftop with friends,” Roma says.

“I went for a stroll to take in the sights when I spotted this guy, horizontal on the edge of the roof smoking a cigarette. He didn’t seem to have a care in the world. I was completely fascinated – I’d be terrified! I watched him and snapped a few photos while contemplating how he got there, why he chose to go there and thought that maybe, in such a busy city as London, it was his little piece of paradise.”
