Parts of WA reached temperatures of 45c yesterday which could be higher than the Sahara desert and Death Valley in California. Incidentally the later reached 56.7c in 1913.

Temperatures are expected to reach 47c this week in the state’s north.

Meteorologist suggest temperatures may dip slightly heading towards the weekend, but the scorching weather will return in a few days.

It looks like some local residence are enjoying the heat, social media posts about the heatwave show someone frying an egg.
