All Large Outdoors breaks are designed to make walking sociable. They are ideal for solo travellers, couples or small groups of friends who want to explore new areas of the country in the company of like-minded walkers and a qualified guide.

All trips are fully-hosted with the route planning, map reading and catering all organised, and a free shuttle service offered on some trips for those travelling by train.

Weekend trips and challenges for 2016 include:

Hiking the National Three Peaks or Yorkshire Three Peaks

As well as the day challenges where people can join a group to complete a hike up one of Britain’s biggest peaks or the Yorkshire Three Peaks (where there is the option to make a weekend of the challenge), Large Outdoors also organises the ‘big one’ – hiking the National Three Peaks comprising Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

The aim is to complete all three peaks within a 24-hour period but with Large Outdoors organising the logistics of overnight accommodation on the Friday, transport, driving, and providing different guides to meet the group at each peak to lead them to the summit, the challengers can concentrate on putting their best foot forward to complete the tough but do-able challenge.

Large Outdoors is organising various dates including Friday 20, Sunday 22 May and Friday 10Sunday 12 June.

Cost: £395 per person.
