The annual bonfire night fireworks display for the remote Oban community in Scotland near Glasgow, was said to have cost the town council £6000.
Louise Glen-Lee, a local councillor told The Oban Times : “It was the best fireworks display I have ever seen, despite its brevity. No-one complained.”
The fault was put down to an error with an electronic timer.
