The Hollywood heartthrob still has yet to tie the knot, which has prompted rumours that he’s hiding his true sexuality.
The 50-year-old actor said: “My private life is private, and I’m very happy in it. I’ll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don’t give a shit.”
He added: “Who does it hurt if someone thinks I’m gay?”
The star, missed out on the Lead Actor Oscar last weekend has been dating former WWE wrestler Stacy Kiebler since August last year.
He’s also dated a string of other beauties including Italian TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis and British model Lisa Snowden.
Clooney is an advocate of gay rights and revealed he didn’t speak out about not being gay until recently because he was worried he’d offend anyone in the gay community.
He said: “’I think it’s funny, but the last thing you’ll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, ‘These are lies!’. That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community.
“I’m not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing.”
